Solar Panels on Trees

Can I really not have a electric bill?

Yes it is possible if there is enough space for the proper amount of solar panels to offset your power consumption along with a battery backup for nights.

Does shade and clouds effect power output?

Yes but not as bad as in the past the newer technology helps maintain a steady power output from the panels.

How long will it take to get my investment back?

This depends on the cost of the system and your average electric bill.

For example my home uses 10,000kwh per year, that would require 6.7 kw of solar panels to break even on power use.

I was quoted by a local company $41.000 dollars for 7.6kw with 25 years financed at 4.99%  at $169 a month with a payback at 25 yrs = a minuscule - $1500 in savings. All this without battery backup. My homes average bill isn't even $169.
"I laughed how is this saving anyone money" & decided to open the Solar Supply Store to save people money.

We can sell 8.8kw of solar panels and a 11kw inverter for around $6100 - $7000 depending on mounting needs for the panels.

This 8.8kw system would give a payback in as little as 5 years if  your average bill was $169 and you spent $10.000 or less fully installed.

This is a system without battery backup. Battery backup will cost a average of $275 -$323 per KW hour.

The  batteries we sell are 100AH = 5.1kw at 48 volts $1399 base price and up.

We do not install we have a list recommended electricians and installers.

Most electricians are $125 a hour and materials, typically 1 day / 8 hours or less to get fully connected.

Installers are $31 - $45 a hour per person on the job most jobs require 2 or more people 1 day average to install as well.

Floating Solar Panels

What about permits?

Permits can be gotten easily from the local county and are not pricey, some counties have more restrictions than others.

Oklahoma county wants a engineers inspection and stamp on the load bearing of your roof if you place panels on the roof.

Exploring Solar Panels

If my house doesn't have south facing roof can I still use solar? is it worth the $$
Yes you can. The option is more panels to absorb as much sunlight as possible. You can get morning and evening sun with east and west roof faces. the system has to be designed properly and every home or building is different.
